Called a few companies about my sinking porch and Rapid was the only one that actually showed up when they said they would. Did a great job and the price was reasonable. Would use again.

We had a section of our driveway that had dropped a good two inches. Rapid came out, assessed it, and had it leveled in about an hour. Looks like it was never a problem. Very satisfied.

One half of our garage floor had dipped by roughly two inches. In a matter of hours, these guys leveled it out. You wouldn't be able to tell it was unequal. Excellent work.

The concrete around our pool deck was sinking and cracking. They lifted it back to level and it looks perfect. Way cheaper than replacing the whole thing.

Got three quotes for my sunken patio and Rapid was the most straightforward. No upselling, just told me what it would cost and got it done. Looks brand new.

Called Rapid Concrete Leveling about my uneven driveway and they came out the next day. Quick job, looks great, and the price was fair. Really happy with the result.

Signs Your Sidewalk Has Settled

Most sidewalk problems come from the soil — not the slab.

Sunken concrete sidewalk slab dropped below adjacent panels

Sunken Sidewalk Slab

One slab has dropped below the rest. The dirt underneath washed out or shrunk away, and the slab followed it down.

Trip Hazard Between Slabs

A vertical lip between two panels you can catch your toe on. Anything more than a quarter inch is enough to make someone fall.

Sidewalk pitched toward house foundation with water pooling

Walkway Pitched Toward the House

Rainwater runs back toward the foundation instead of away. Over time that water soaks into the wall.

Cracked sunken walkway slab needing concrete leveling

Cracked or Settled Walkway Section

A slab that has split and dropped on one or both sides. Both halves can be lifted back to level if the concrete is still in one piece. Concrete crack repair closes wider gaps that won't lift back together.

Lift It. Don't Replace It.

Concrete sidewalk leveling foam injection lifting sunken slab

Sidewalk and walkway leveling lifts sunken concrete back to grade without tearing it out. We drill small holes, inject expanding foam or cement-based mud underneath, and the slab rises back to level. Most jobs take an hour or two. You walk on it 20 minutes after we finish.

Most slabs don't need full replacement. If the concrete is still in one piece, it can be lifted. Replacement runs four to eight times more than a lift. We tell you straight which one your slab needs and which method fits it. Driveway leveling uses the same approach for larger slabs.

Front Walkway Leveling

The slabs leading up to your front door — the most common job we run. One panel usually drops from soil washout or clay shrinkage.

Side-Yard Path Leveling

Narrow paths between houses or along the side yard. Foam injection fits where bigger equipment can't reach.

Walkway-to-Porch Step Correction

When the walkway has dropped away from the porch step and left a high awkward step, we lift the porch-side edge back flush.

The Process

How Sidewalk Leveling Works

How sidewalk leveling works diagram
1

Free On-Site Assessment

We come out and walk every slab. We find the drops, the soil cause, and the lift points. You get a flat written price before we touch anything.

2

Drill 5/8" Injection Holes

Small holes go through the slab at strategic points. Foam holes are the size of a dime. Mud holes are bigger but still patch clean.

3

Inject Foam or Mud — Lift to Grade

Foam expands underneath and lifts the slab in controlled bursts. We watch with a level the whole time so the slab comes up flush with its neighbors.

4

Patch and Walk On It

We seal the holes with non-shrink patch and clean up. About 20 minutes later you can walk, drive, or park on the slab.

Why Choose Rapid Concrete Leveling

Rapid Concrete Leveling crew lifting walkway with foam injection

We give you the price before we drill the first hole. Whatever number we quote is the number you pay. No change orders, no surprises after the work starts.

We use both foam and mud, and we tell you which one fits your slab. Foam lasts 20+ years and won't wash out. Mud is cheaper and good for 2 to 5 years. We lay it out — your call.

Most jobs are done same day or next day. The slab is walkable 20 minutes after the last hole is patched. No tear-out, no new concrete to cure for a week.

Sidewalk Leveling Questions Homeowners Ask Us

Most residential sidewalk lifts run $250 to $650. A single dropped slab is usually $250 to $450. A full front walkway with several slabs runs $450 to $1,200. Replacement runs $2,500 to $3,500 — leveling saves about 50 to 70 percent.

Foam injection lasts 20 years or more because it's waterproof and doesn't wash out. Mudjacking lasts 2 to 5 years on average. The slab will only stay up if the soil cause — like a downspout washing out the dirt — is also fixed.

The soil under the slab fails. Common causes are downspouts dumping water that erodes the dirt, clay soil shrinking in dry months, tree roots pulling moisture out, and poor compaction when the slab was first poured.

Lift it if the slab is still in one piece. Replacement is only needed when the slab is broken into pieces, has cracks across more than half its length, or is past 25 to 30 years old. Lifting costs 50 to 70 percent less and is done in hours instead of days.

Most sidewalk and walkway jobs are done in one to two hours. A single slab takes about 30 to 45 minutes. The slab is walkable 20 minutes after we finish patching the holes.
